Karen loves a client who appreciates change, specifically someone who likes to mix up their look based on the seasons. Whether it be highlights at one appointment and lowlights at the next, or even tone on tone color like caramel highlights on a dark brown base. She loves a cascading long layered cut, but also cant wait to get to work on a good bob. Karen’s ideal client is someone who radiated positive energy and feels comfortable to chat about everything and anything, from the start of her appointment to the end. She would be someone who loves her coffee with an extra shot of espresso, a little cream and sugar, but not too light, because she like a little kick. Or maybe she prefers to end a long day with a good clean Tito’s club with a splash of something sweet.
Karen has….
a TON of passion! She started beauty school at a young age and has flourished in this industry. Her biggest goal is to help her clients achieve their desired and sometimes dream look, by understanding their needs and lifestyle. She strives to better herself regularly and has a significant amount of education under her belt. Even though Karen loves being behind the chair, she actually specializes in make up artistry, traveling all over the Tri-State area for on location wedding services.
Karen’s passion for the Beauty Industry started with her Mother. Growing up she remembers listening to her Mom share stories about life in Puerto Rico, and how she provided hair services to the community. Being introduced to this industry early in life, Karen soon realized her own calling toward makeup application, so she enrolled in cosmetology school at MBIT. Soon after she quickly realized that makeup application was rarely covered, and wanted to give up in the worst way. Regardless, she stayed focused and in her second year was amazed at her new and growing passion for color, cutting and the overall structure of hair.

A very dedicated, intuitive and extroverted person. She is very caring and believes that the best part of the services she provides, is making people feel good about themselves. Karen provides a warm presence and omits a sense of calm that is both welcoming and soothing.

Outside the Salon
Karen loves to spend time with her Husband and two kids. They live by the motto “where the wind blows us” taking full advantage of family time, with adventures and trying new things. She appreciates their annual vacations, and looks forward to a Mommy Daddy weekend alone or with friends (when they get the chance).

Being creative with my kiddos. Singing and dancing (you might even catch me humming or whistling during your service because most the time I don’t even know I’m doing it). I love Spring and Fall, and spending time in nature (if i could be barefoot everyday I would!). I also enjoying trying new restaurants, lipstick, essential oils, crystals, coffee and keeping up with new fashion trends.
