How to care for you extensions and what to expect.
Product Recommendations
Unite - Take Home regimen offered in salon.
Use only sulfate-free and paraben-free products.
Avoid products containing alcohol, oil or ethanol.
Use salon grade products, meaning you purchased them from your salon. Not all products are extension compatible.
Use spray leave-in-conditioner or moisturizer on extensions to keep from tangling or drying out.
Washing Instructions
The less you wash the better.
Rinsing is fine, or just wash the hairline and part area of your natural hair.
It is not suggested to fully wash more then 2x a week.
Washing Tips
Before washing, thoroughly brush hair to remove any tangles.
Use lukewarm water.
Section the hair while in the shower between wefts of hair.
To keep clean, run your finger along scalp area. Repeat as needed.
Never rub the ends of the hair together while washing.
Condition and leave in for 5 minutes but ONLY to the ends of your hair. Avoid getting conditioner on the bond of the hair extensions.
Use a mask at least once a week and focus on the ends of your extensions.
Be sure to completely rinse away the shampoo and conditioner.
Drying Instructions
It is best to let extensions air dry if able.
Gently squeeze, blot, and wrap your hair in a micro fiber towel to get out any excess moisture. Use a large wide tooth comb, start at the bottom of the extensions to detangle.
Firmly hold the extensions so there is no pulling from the scalp area. It is best to use a heat protectant before using heat.
Lifestyle Suggestions
Braid extensions before sleeping or bed.
Do NOT go to bed with a wet head.
Sleep on silk pillow case.
Brush regularly.
Make sure hair is completely dry before using any hot tools.
Do not put your hair in a constant messy bun as this will thin out, tangle, and cause damage to your beautiful extensions.
Styling
We suggest using Ergo Gentle Brushes (sold in salon) for all extension styling.
Flat iron, waver, or curling iron are allowed only if set on 300°-400° temperature.
Dry Shampoos and Shine Sprays are your best friend.
Vacation Maintenance
SiMPLEE U wants you to rock your long locks. We do want you to please use caution with applying and using sunscreen. Some sunscreens, including spray sunscreen, have chemicals that can cause discoloration to the hair. We do suggest a vegan or all-natural non-aerosol sunscreen to prevent discoloration.
We also recommend following swim care instructions for further vacation care in pools or natural bodies of water.
